The faculty and instructors of this program each practice leadership in higher education as high-level administrators. Classroom experiences are grounded in theoretical concepts that guide organizational leadership, but focus primarily on practical application. Students who complete this program will have a strong understanding of how to implement policy, apply theory, collaborate across higher education units, and engage in critical decision-making processes. In short, students who graduate from this program are equipped to step directly into fast-paced higher education leadership roles.

Responsible for the planning, monitoring and managing of the athletic department's financial activities. Also will be responsible for all of the department's core business functions including financial forecasting, budgeting, business operations, facilities, technology, business intelligence and human resources. Morris, alongside the athletic director and senior director for athletic development, leads in developing strategic priorities for fundraising and actively engages in donor engagement activities.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison has developed an initiative to strengthen the post-graduation trajectories for student-athletes. The University's “Beyond the Game Initiative" confronts the challenge of student-athletes who face the end of their eligibility to play without identifying viable careers outside professional sports. The objectives of the program are to increase student-athlete graduation rates and postgraduate outcomes, while increasing retention rates and assisting with student development. The program is open to all student-athletes. Black Male student-athletes are strongly encouraged to participate, as research have shown they are less likely to graduate than their peers. The initiative materialized from collaboration between WCER's Wisconsin's Equity and Inclusion Laboratory (Wei Lab) and the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. The Beyond the Game Program (BTG) is funded by the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics, and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement.
