Serves as the Military Personnel Officer for the South Carolina Army National Guard. Directs, manages, administers and plans the military personnel programs for all enlisted, warrant officer and officer personnel. Serves as the principle staff officer and chief advisor to the Chief ofStaff and The Adjutant General (TAG) for all matters pertaining to the administration of military personnel management programs, which include; Officer Personnel Management (OPM), Enlisted Personnel Management (EPM), Standard Installation and Division Personnel System (SIDPERS), Personnel Services Section, Medical Services, Educational Services, and Recruiting and Retention as well as the budget for each. Supervises a work force involved in plans, procedures, and operations affecting the personnel readiness of the state.

Served as the active duty Commander of a 350 Soldier Air Defense Battalion during pre-mobilization training as well as during a one year deployed to serve as the a component of the Washington DC Air Defense mission. During this period, I worked extensively to ensure manning requirements were met as well as an extremely regimented training plan. The Battalion was validated after a rigorous 4 week field training event in New Mexico and served for approximately one year in Washington, DC.

Prepared and maintained personnel estimates and assigned duties to maintain the readiness posture of all assigned units. Performed casualty operations, maintained personnel information databases as required, coordinated the Command awards program, line of duty accident investigations, congressional and family inquiries as well as all special correspondence. As the Personnel Officer I served at the trainer, evaluator and validation official for Human Resources personnel serving as part of the National Capital Region's Integrated Air Defense mission. Additionally, worked in conjunction with unit Operations Officers to ensure all Soldiers serving the above mission met the requirements of the Personnel Reliability Program mandated by the Department of the Army.
