I started working at the age of 15 in June 2015 at my local bottle redemption and convenience store sorting bottles until I started working at my high school sweeping and mopping the floors of the culinary classroom in October 2015 where I worked until I graduated high school in May 2018. During the summer of 2017 (June to July), while my high school was closed and I wasn't able to work, I traveled to Colorado to work for my older sister's cleaning business to clean large vacation homes and small rentals. Throughout these work experiences, I learned respect for my co-workers and gained a huge sense of pride for the work that I do, whether it's the cleaning I was being paid for or the artwork I was working on while I was off the clock that resulted in two gold keys in the Scholastic Art And Writing Awards, one silver medal in the Scholastic Art And Writing Awards (Nationals), and a publication in the St.Johnsbury Academy’s yearly art and writing publication; The Clear River Review (2017).
