Marion has been active in the field of Education both within Australia and Internationally for over 40 years. Trained initially as a primary school teacher, Marion has also worked in secondary schools, Special Education facilities and with Adult learners. Marion was a Primary School Principal in large metropolitan schools, before accepting the role of foundation Principal, for the first International school in Jinan, China, growing the school from 4 - 210 students in 2.5 years. For 8.5 years, Marion was the Executive Officer of Speld Qld, and grew the organisation to be the leader of support services for students with learning differences throughout Queensland.She is passionate about assisting those less fortunate and this is evidenced in her continued support for a school in Africa, and her work with St Vincents de Paul in training tutors to assist refugee families. Marion has also given her spare time genorously, fulfilling the role of Chair of QCECC (Queensland Commemorative Events and Celebrations Committee) from 1999 - 2007.
