    As an Anti-hunger Advocate, I worked with Feeding Southwest Virginia and the Southwest Virginia Coalition to End Childhood Hunger find solutions to alleviate childhood poverty in the counties of Southwestern, Virginia as well as working with community stakeholders and the Hunger-Free Northwest Coalition eliminating the "food desert" in Northwest Roanoke, Virginia. The years of hard work resulted in The Grocery Store Hub Project that was funded in 2021.The grocery store Market on Melrose has a Spring 2024 opening date.
