To improve public safety and give court-involved youth the opportunity to become more productive citizens by building on the strengths of youth and their families in the least restrictive, most homelike environment consistent with public safety. Provide day to day supervision and positive engagement of youth in the care and custody of the department. Assists youth with their vocational programming and works collaboratively with staff to maintain order and discipline. ● Provided case management and supervision of youth on my caseload of 30 youth, which includes, but is not limited to, providing therapeutic services which may range from assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, and brokering services to youth adjudicated by the courts as delinquent and committed to DYRS. I monitored the youth's level of risk to the community and used appropriate controls and administrative procedures when needed to protect the community. Supervised a youth until the termination of the court commitment order or administratively discharged from supervision.

: Instructed (5th-12th grade) students with Emotional and Learning Disabilities in the subject areas of social studies. As an Academy Director it was my job to provide my students with a tangible real world experience in the area of Culinary Arts and Hospitality. Furnished vocational training to academy participates, which lead to food handler certification and internships in the DC area. Out workforce development allowed many of our graduates to be recruited to full-time positions. ● Supervised a student population of 30 students and an annual budget with a procurement of over $20,000. ● Created and implemented a project based instructional curriculum based on a global culinary project. ● Developed project assessments to ensure compliance, and analyze academic progress of the program participates. ● Coordinated training programs for students, which assisted in gaining national certification in food handling.
