Chosen as Project Manager to “in-source” two product lines with $20M in annual sales from contract manufacturer into the Raleigh facilities as part of the Eaton/Powerware integration process. - Hired, managed, and developed team to independently relocate two product families with multiple product lines from Wisconsin into the North Carolina facilities. - Successfully completed project on time and under budget resulting in an annual savings of $3M in product costs.

Raleigh - Responsible for manufacturing, procurement, materials, customer service, and test/manufacturing engineering functions for the Three Phase business unit. Managed multi-location, multi-functional, multi-level staff, implementing Eaton’s lean manufacturing system, reducing costs, instituting a demand management process and ensuring customer satisfaction while meeting budget/financial goals. - Responsible for 5 production lines ranging from medium volume, flow products to highly engineered, custom, multi-module power systems and accessories with >300 production associates. - Developed overall and inter-departmental budgets for labor and indirect spending. - Accountable for headcount and staffing models for each product line and the overall factory to ensure efficiency, financial and productivity metrics were met. - Utilizing lean methodology reduced inventory by 75% by implementing Kanban, vendor managed inventory, consignment programs. and converting to point-of-use stocking. - Improved customer service levels to over 95+% by developing customized, electronic reporting and ordering structures.Wilmington - Led the manufacturing and procurement efforts at 170,000 square foot, 200-employee facility with over $110 million in annual sales. - Responsible for 4 product lines ranging from high volume, high mix equipment to medium volume, low mix products. - Increased manufacturing effectiveness by 18% and on-time shipments by over 16% while reducing overtime by 50% by assembling focused, product specific work teams. - Assembled and led a special project team to Tijuana to restructure a failed product transfer. The turnaround resulted in 100% on-time deliveries of correct product mix, much improved end customer deliveries and a savings of $100,000 monthly in labor and shipping costs.
