I wrote, produced, directed, and am currently editing a feature-length narrative film filmed in Europe, West and North Africa.

I serve as a mentor for independent research projects, passion projects tailored to student interests (ie: launching a non-profit to empower women in STEM), SAT Tutor and college admissions counselor for high schoolers aged 15-18.

Completed ESL / TEFL training. Was an ESL teacher through performance and play at 4 English summer camps (60 students per camp) throughout Italy (June/July 2019, August/September 2023).Lead teacher for students aged 5-6 (level Pre A-1).

I completed a Master's in Education with a focus on Project Management within the fields of Education and Social work with support from the U.S. Fulbright Student Program. Courses (economics, law, project development, sociology of education, pedagogy, etc) were entirely in French. I wrote two dissertations related to immigrant youth experiences in their countries of origin, their migration routes, and their experiences in France, cultural and artistic programming within NGOs and welcome classes, identity development, childhood trauma, West African, French and American education systems, colonization, slavery, and the evolution of immigration policy. I drew from the fields of anthropology, sociology, history, education, africana studies, media studies, and interviews I conducted with 100 immigrant youth and 20 volunteers and thousands of hours of participant observation.

Droit à l'école is an NGO which prepares immigrant youth (largely from West Africa and Afghanistan) for enrollment in French schools through welcome classes, supports them throughout their studies, and helps them find jobs. The association has 100 volunteers and supports over 300 youth. As a volunteer (3 months) and full-time intern (1 year total), I was a French teacher (4 levels - literacy, A1, A2, B1), substitute teacher (Science, Math), English teacher (for the class I created), volunteer coordinator, arts program/field-trip coordinator, 'school referent' for four students (in the absence of a legal guardian), co-lead of the 'school referent' branch of the association, and association board member. I also created and led a weekly after-school theater workshop and organized two end-of-the year performances in which students performed an original play based on their experiences as well as original improv sketches in collaboration with professional actors from a Parisian improv troupe.

Research Assistant for Annette Lareau’s study of family and money, which examines the ways in which wealthy families give money to charity, family and others. Families across the United States who are in the top one percent of net worth will be interviewed. I work alongside a team to code and analyze interviews.

Teaching Assistant for Ethnographic Filmmaking (EDUC-546 and EDUC-547), a year-long Academically-Based Community Service Course at Penn GSE (Fall '21, Spring '21), and Sociology of Education (SOCI-041), an Academically-Based Community Service Freshman Seminar (Spring '21).

- Working for the West Philadelphia Cultural Alliance alongside Ms. Vernoca Michael, Director of the Paul Robeson House and Museum, to engage youth in virtual programming.- Spearheading the creation of a new training course for all new Netter volunteers- Meeting with professors to determine how to best support them in preparing their students- Developing a full curriculum on the history of Philadelphia, local context of institutions (schools, prisons, healthcare systems, etc), and volunteering best practices (informed by my research on mutually beneficial mentorship)

Taught two girls now aged 8 & 9 in biweekly immersive French lessons for four years.

As an Ambassador for Teach For America (TFA), I was a campus-based intern who works as part of TFA's recruitment team. I build awareness of the leadership and career opportunities TFA offers and enhance my communication and marketing skills while gaining an understanding of how a successful nonprofit operates.
