Ph.D. in Geography, Master in Remote Sensing and GIS and BS. in Geology specializing in Hydrogeology. My current activity focuses on the development and application of techniques based on Remote Sensing imagery and GIS applied to the analysis of land cover change (LCC), especially applications for forestry and agricultural monitoring. Topics of interest include high-precision classification techniques (high-accurate ground-truth areas extraction, the applications of supervised/unsupervised classification techniques, and developing post-processing applications) and statistical analysis of land-use and land-cover change. (LCC), applications of Remote Sensing and GIS technologies, the analysis of climate change on terrestrial ecosystems, as well as strategies for filling information gaps in time series.
