Working closely with phd candidate Amalia Ionescu on using machine learning algorithms and NLP analysis to extract causal relationships in children corpora. We are interested in studying how infants tune into their native language(s) and how children eventually develop the implicit rules of language that allow them to comprehend and produce grammatical sentences. To do this we study infants’, toddlers’, and young children’s language perception and production abilities.Responsibilities:- Recruited, scheduled, and organized participants; explained research methodologies and outcomes to low-SES Spanish-speaking families.- Assisted PIs in Spanish Inflection and Harmony Preference experiments and data processing.- Distilled psycholinguistic research into accessible social media posts aimed to improve children-parent relationships and familiar environments.- Created visually appealing and responsive web interfaces to enhance user experience. Designed in Figma.- Designed UI/UX according to user feedback through standardized surveys.- Developed effective skills in communication and psycholinguistics as result of working independently in deadline-oriented setting.- Deployed multiple research projects and websites in HTML and Javascript using React framework.

- Conducted interpretability research on GPT 2 small, performed statistical analysis and used contemporary techniques to find quantitative axes such as 'lawfulness' and 'confidence'. Isolated behavior through influence studies.

Worked as a contract technical interpreter translator at ArgenPlas for 2 consecutive years.Collaborated in setup and adjustment of machinery with over 10 international providers; executed engineering specific translations between English, Spanish, and Chinese.Conducted specific in-depth research on 5 different machines to ensure communication and understanding.
