Implementation of fluorescence based methods, especially fluorescence fluctuation-based methods, with application to the analysis of amyloid-β. My project included:- Peptide expression and purification (immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography, rp-HPLC, SEC)- Dye labeling of amyloid-β - Characterisation of amyloid-β constructs using fluorescence-based techniques (eTCSPC: Fluorescence lifetime, fluorescence anisotropy; Fluorescence fluctuation-based methods: PCH/FIDA, fluorescence cumulant analysis, FCS)- Building confocal multiparameter fluorescence detection (MFD) microscope
