I am a seasoned public servant with over a decade of experience in both national and municipal governments, now transitioning to work in impact-driven companies.Most recently, as a Legislator with the City Government of Santo Domingo, I spearheaded transformative urban development projects that blended sustainable practices with substantial economic growth. I led the creation of the "Ensanche La Fe" initiative, an urban renewal project aimed at transforming a large semi-industrial and low-density residential area into a pedestrian-centric district poised to become the new urban center of the Dominican capital. This project is expected to lead to the creation of over 40,000 homes and generate more than US$6.1 billion in real estate value over the next twenty years.Leveraging my extensive experience in public sector roles, I am driven to transition into the infrastructure finance industry, particularly focusing on projects under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. With a profound understanding of the intricacies of regulatory frameworks and stakeholder management, I am skilled in negotiating and managing projects that require nuanced, multi-stakeholder engagement. I have also gained extensive experience in identifying and mitigating political, regulatory, social, and reputational risks.As I advance my career, opportunities that allow me to be fully immersed in the entire infrastructure project life-cycle, including business development, project investment, asset management and investor relations are particularly appealing. Joining interdisciplinary teams that design, finance, develop, and operate transformative projects, especially in emerging markets, is a key aspiration.I am currently pursuing an MBA at INSEAD to broaden and deepen my business acumen, hone my industry-specific technical skills, and prepare for this career transition.
