Dr. Mari Richko is the owner and founder of Center for Authentic Living, Inc. located in Park Ridge, IL. Mari has been working in the holistic health field for 25+years applying her background in body centered psychotherapy, integrative medicine, and body based therapies. Mari recently acquired her certification in psychedelic assisted therapy and is seeing clients for processing and integration work.Mari is well known in the eating disorder community for her work in enhancing recovery for those suffering from mental and physical aliments. Her areas of expertise are eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, transitions, physical imbalances and chronic pain. Her specialty in body based therapies include hakomi, shiatsu, trauma focused acupressure, and yoga for mental health and physical imbalances.She utilizes techniques such as mindfulness, body awareness, IFS (Internal Family Systems), Traditional Chinese Medicine, and yoga psychology to her work with clients. Mari along with her daughter, Meghann Richko, a psychotherapist and yoga therapist, created "Yoga Talk"​ group therapy for those in recovery and imbalances due to emotional and/or physical issues. YogaTalk was featured on WGN Lifestyles in 2015. Mari served on the advisory board for InNetwork, an exclusive membership group of integrative healthcare professionals whose main goal was to make complementary alternative medicine better understood and to inspire the public to use prevention medicine. She supervised staff and had an integrative practice at The Awakening Center, a outpatient facility for eating disorders in Chicago from 2007-2015.Mari's empathetic style empowers individuals towards a transformation in health and well being. Her wellness paradigm incorporates the understanding of ourselves through body/mind/spirit. Dr. Mari is a lecturer using the combination of psychotherapy and the psychological blueprint from the five elements of TCM as an educational tool for recovery of body and mind along with the need for yoga therapeutics as an adjunct therapy in recovery. She teaches how to apply these philosophies to our everyday life.
