It is my goal to leave this Earth better than when I arrived. For a long time, this was through the little things; start with respect, be a good listener, empathise all walks of life. As my career began, this would extend to problem solving through countless hours of tunnel vision, music up, coding in the dark. Whether it be helping parents find a decent playground with accessibility features, building a dashboard for AGRF to monitor & streamline their bioinformatics pipelines, creating a means for Telstra to onboard & engage their new employees, or to serve The Washington Post’s 83 million unique visitors by leading the development of their tvOS app & collaborating on many iterations of their flagship iOS apps, it’s been a great pleasure to work with brilliant minds to keep building.Now, I’m channeling all that I’ve learned thus far into something personal to me. A few years ago, the kids & I developed severe eczema & they developed asthma. Beyond the random flare ups or asthma attacks, it often meant inadequate sleep, embarrassing social occasions, and many prescriptions of varying effects, all the while, baseline tests deemed us ‘healthy’. I know we can do better than mask the symptoms, & it will take a collective to elevate the research in allergy, eczema, & asthma. So, I’m trying on few new hats as an entrepreneur to push this forward.
