From a young age, I was drawn to the creative realm. As I grew older, I realised that my passion lay in orchestrating creative endeavours from behind the scenes. This realisation, along with my hunger for insights into communities and the youth field (both of which are so important for meaningful engagement in the cultural field), led me to pursue the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy's Leisure Time Manager-Teacher studies. During my studies, I also attended numerous Culture Management subjects and actively joined the teams of various conferences and festivals. A few years later, I graduated from the CGO Institute's Diploma course in Creative Producing.In 2016, I moved to the UK and spent six years working at The ASHA Centre - a holistic peace education centre. There, I spearheaded large-scale European Commission-funded projects in non-formal education, creative arts, and community development that provided training for close to 2,000 young adults and youth workers from across Europe.Today, I am the Creative Producer of Eden's Cave - a research-driven arts collective that develops performance projects across theatre and film, offers community and land-based training, and hosts residency opportunities in the Forest of Dean. Dedicated to joining with the many others who are facing the colossal challenges of our age, we are cultivating a creative environment that supports experimentation and an interdisciplinary approach to making and research that is firmly rooted in community and place. From our base in the woods, we carve out space for deep creative enquiry, durational project-building, and collaboration with the more-than-human world that might transform the way we make, live, and participate in urgent times.
