-Oversees and supports all aspects of education programs and activities.-Acts as the liaison between HPREC and the NMPED on all education related programs and activities.-Works closely with member districts on the access and implementation of research based programs and materials.-Supervises the employment process and its components for 27 regional reading specialists, serving school districts state-wide and working in conjunction with NMPED Literacy Bureau.-Monitors budget components of education programs and activities, including State Directed Activity (SPED), Intergovernmental Agreements with NMPED, and entrepreneurial efforts.-Organizes and facilitates professional development, as per IGA Scopes of Work, for multiple NMPED Bureaus, including Literacy, Math, College and Career, and Priority Schools.-Provides technical assistance and support for related service personnel and contracted SPED experts.-HPREC contact for the NMPED Early Warning System initiative,to include collaborative efforts of NMPED, participating New Mexico schools, and Johns Hopkins University (Everyone Graduates Center).-Webmaster (HPREC and NMRECA).-Oversees Medicaid School Based Services program.-Coordinates, monitors, and provides technology support to employees and contractors; works with network administrator to ensure seamless access for staff (internet, web based tools, staff email, secured information necessary to perform job responsibilities).
