Coaches educators on ways to implement large-scale initiatives, including systemwide social and emotional learning (SEL), in a culturally relevant way and on how to assess SEL in a way that is culturally and practically meaningful. Trains education leaders in quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis and supports them in their program.

Assisted WCSD with the implementation and evaluation of their social and emotional learning (SEL) curriculum and the development of a student self-report assessment of social and emotional competencies (SECs). This work was part of a larger research-practitioner partnership with the Collaborative for Academic Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL). Managed.

Earned doctoral degree in the Interdisciplinary Social Psychology Ph.D. Program at the University of Nevada, Reno. My research focused on the intersection between cultural psychology and the psychology of emotions. Through this work, I recruited 1,000+ participants from different cultural backgrounds, garnered expertise in experimental and archival.

During my time at SDSU I was involved in two research labs. One was headed by my advisor, Dr. Radmila Prislin, and focused on the effect of minority (or majority) influence on attitude strength and certainty. The second was a stereotype and prejudice lab headed by Dr. David Marx that primarily focused on the factors that affect stereotype threat.
