I am a senior and previous 1794 Scholar at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I also take part in the Business Fellows Program in order to further my experience as an honors student. Through my involvement in campus organizations, I have had the opportunity to strengthen both my leadership and professionalism. During the 2022-2023 school year, I served as Treasurer for my sorority, Sigma Phi Lambda. In addition, I am an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) where I also had the opportunity to serve as VP of Finance (2023-2024).In Summer 2022, I had the privilege of interning with the City of Brentwood in their human resources department. This opportunity allowed me to receive real life HR exposure and truly solidify my career goals. The following summer, I had the privilege of building upon my first internship’s takeaways with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. In my role, I served as a file clerk and intern for the human resource department. Summer of 2024, I had the pleasure of interning within PRO (Partner Resources Organization) at Starbucks. In my role, I got to learn all things payroll including piecing together a business case for a new pay card product.In the future, I aspire to be a part of an employee centered culture with an emphasis on belonging and continuous learning. My strengths of connectedness, includer, positivity, learner, and empathy all played a role in my career aspirations along with how I navigate life.
