Placement

My responsibility is tutoring students in school from refugee, recent migrant and disadvantaged backgrounds in English.

Implemented Personal Safety Education in school and communities, conducted awareness sessions on Child Sexual Abuse among various stakeholders like parents, teachers, police and other NGOs and the public and lastly documentation.

Conducted surveys in villages, did an assessment of the core problems of people and got training in Braille and sign language (just some basics)

Conducted ward visits in Thane Civil Hospital to spread awareness on Domestic Violence (DV) and the NGO to victims of DV, awareness sessions on DV and women's rights in communities, participated in street plays to create awareness on a large scale, organised the annual event and did fund raising for the same, involved in documentation work and communications.

Involved in the formation of women's self-help group, worked and coordinates with the youth from the communities to organise various events and competitions to encourage women's participation and fundraising for the same.
