Hello i’m Marisa Ortiz! Originally from Philadelphia PA I have moved to Rochester NY to seek an education at Rochester Institute of Technology. Currently, I am in my third year pursing a bachelor's in Software Engineering.Technology and the impacts it has on our society has always interested me and I’m striving to make sure I am a part of it. Currently, I’m honing my skills in various languages such as Java, Python, C, and C++ and familiarizing myself with software development processes. These past two years have helped me lock in on what I want to do in this industry and I have learned by strongest passion is low-level software development for embedded systems.Besides Software I have worked at Docs Irish Pub for four years, starting as a hostess at 15 i’ve worked my way up to bartending and currently work there during summer and winter breaks. During the school semester, I also work as a student manager at Beanz and offer my skills as a course assistant.
