Coordination includes: reviewing and approving course and training calendar changes, coordinating with stakeholders, getting the Memorandum of Agreement for the RTI signed by three Major Generals and a Colonel, as well as coordinating, attending, and providing materials for the yearly Training Leadership Development Guidance Seminar, which is where the RTI training schedule for the next two years is determined. • Serves as the Army’s sole point of contact with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in support of the Army National Incident Management System (NIMS) Administrator Program. Reviews and approves Army Command requests to conduct NIMS in-person courses on Army installations, through which 696 students were educated on NIMS principles on Army installations in 2019. • Works closely with FEMA EMI to manage the partnership between FEMA and the Army to ensure Army personnel teach NIMS courses to FEMA standards, including updating the Army's NIMS Administration manual, providing FEMA with a yearly training report, reviewing and approving all Command course requests, managing an Excel database of Army instructor qualifications, recording and reviewing qualifications, and coordinating with FEMA for the conduct of certain courses (such as Train-the-Trainer), to make sure all students have met the prerequisites and courses have been registered with FEMA. The officers had the opportunity to respond to an active shooter attempting to gain entry to the building in three different scenarios. The exercise served over 100 participants including exercise staff, controllers and evaluators, and was attended by Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) Director Jonathan Cofer. Attended all Planning Meetings, developed meeting summaries, and created various exercise materials including in-depth Exercise Evaluation Guides (EEG) and Controller Guides. The EEGs and Controller Guides required controllers and evaluators to assess officer response actions, report officer movements, indicate where simunition rounds fell, and where individuals were hit with simunitions. Briefed at the Controller/Evaluator Briefing. Assisted in exercise conduct and logistics, supported six exercise hot washes and compiled data and feedback to summarize findings in a comprehensive report. Created all meeting materials for the senior leader After Action Meeting. Created the materials for an additional AAM with a more general audience, and also wrote the After Action Report, which was provided to the Director of PFPA. • Supported the development of the Pentagon Two Year Training and Exercise Calendar. Attended the Training and Exercise Planning Workshop, participated in the development of the spreadsheet used to aggregate workshop data, and conducted detailed data analysis to determine what exercises would meet the most objectives of the participating agency components.
