When I joined WHCC, their engineering group was tasked with running and maintaining their manufacturing and back-office systems; doing mobile development for a consumer-focused app; maintaining their existing marketing site plus several web apps; and developing a new customer-facing application.Although the existing systems were running smoothly, new development work had stalled, never quite reaching readiness for launch. I developed a more targeted and specific roadmap in collaboration with their Product team, and we were able to launch the mobile app at a major industry event. Meanwhile, by splitting off development "pods" the team was able to maintain a high standard across existing applications while making rapid progress on new application work.

I joined the Platforms group with a goal of improving culture following several abrupt changes in leadership and a reorganization. By updating processes that had outlived their usefulness, fostering a more inclusive culture, and strategic hiring, I was able to improve employee engagement scores by over 20%, bringing them 15 points above the organizational average. Working across departmental boundaries, I promoted DevOps culture and technologies throughout the University, resulting in new initiatives such as the annual DevOps UMN conference.

Sense Ai was an early-stage startup working on sensor fusion technology to extend the abilities of existing sensors on smartphones, tablets, and IoT devices, enabling the measurement of new things without additional hardware. While consulting for Sense Ai, I provided high-level operational leadership and developed a new pitch deck, investor memo, and Angel List profile that we used to raise a $360K bridge round.

Dell Cloud Manager (formerly Enstratius) was a multi-cloud management platform for organizations seeking a single view of their public and private cloud resources.After I was promoted to lead the Product Management function for DCM, I managed a remote team of product managers as we aligned several business units with Dell's overall cloud strategy. I developed a unified roadmap across these units to support our strategy while also meeting key partner objectives. Based on that roadmap, we launched support for new clouds and capabilities in both our SaaS and on-prem products.

I was brought onto the Product Management team to combine the work I had been doing with metrics for Customer Success with my understanding of the technical challenges facing DCM. Working with the engineering team, I moved our SaaS product to a weekly release cadence in order to bring new features to customers more quickly while maintaining stability and reliability.After the Dell Cloud Marketplace product was added to my portfolio, I managed its GA release at Dell World 2015, leading to over 3000 new business sign-ups.
