I led the product security program in R&D, and later created the security champions program and drove security culture initiatives throughout the Synopsys Software Integrity Group.

SECore.info, an Open Security Foundation project, is a community-driven website that hosts the global security conference calendar for the industry, as well as providing a space for security experts to represent themselves. As a volunteer organizer, Ms. Fagan was an integral part of designing the site before its launch in December 2011, and continues to coordinate community involvement for the project.

Bugcrowd is solving skills shortage with the largest and most diverse crowd of security researchers in the industry. As Director of Crowd Ops, Ms. Fagan has built a program that incentivizes researchers to build their skills, and rewards them for their efforts to use bug bounty programs to make internet more secure.

Bugcrowd, Inc. has the largest community of security testers in the crowdsourced security market. Ms. Fagan is responsible for the growth and wellness of a community of over 6k testers. In this role, she advocates for the rights of testers as well as expanding the tester appreciation program on behalf of customers.

InfoSec Mentors is a non-profit project building a more collaborative and friendly environment for newbies in the information security industry by introducing them to mentors in the community.

Marisa Fagan led the outreach program for the Facebook security team. She promoted and contributed to the Facebook Bug Bounty program. Ms. Fagan created multiple large and small internal and external evangelism projects, including War Room, a defensive security conference in San Francisco. She organized Facebook’s speaking opportunities at security conferences and managed sponsorships. She recruited talented InfoSec professionals by attending conferences and engaging the community online.

Errata Security is a security research and consulting services firm. As Security Project Manager, Ms. Fagan was responsible for managing the custom development lifecycles required for the tools in the Hacker Eye View suite, as well as managing the research and consulting engagements
