Award-winning food and wine writer and creator and author of Marisa's Wine Doodles - the book. Marisa Finetti was born in Tokyo and raised in the San Francisco surrounded by her family’s restaurant businesses. Schooled in journalism, over the years she has contributed to Las Vegas travel guidebooks, and written about everything from googie architecture and nudist colonies, to celebrity homes. But, her favorite storytelling subjects revolve around food and wine. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, Finetti resided in Sonoma County and was a grower of zinfandel. After 10 years of earning calloused blisters from winter prunings, she discovered that putting the shears down and swirling a glass of wine keeps the heart fuller — and the hands more youthful! For over 15 years, Marisa has written regularly for publications on the topics of food, wine, lifestyle, and luxury. She currently writes for DECANTER, WINE ENTHUSIAST and two local Las Vegas-based magazines: DAVID and OFF-THE-STRIP.com For years, she was a weekly columnist at VEGAS SEVEN, former wine editor for CLASS magazine, and contributor of Modern Luxury VEGAS, among others. Marisa holds a WSET Level 3 in wine, is a 2016 and 2018 fellowship recipient of the Professional Wine Writers Symposium, and is a member of Circle Wine Writers.
