My background is architectural, and I am immensely proud to have learned my trade at Glasgow's prestigious Mackintosh School of Architecture, at the GSA (an institution for which I would later design the first bespoke furniture since the great Charles Rennie Mackintosh) where I earned both honors and post graduate degrees. After several rewarding years in professional practice I stepped back from architecture to indulge my passions for a tangible hands-on design, entrepreneurship, and craft; co-founding Method Studio; a furniture design studio with a renowned artisan workshop which now counts Burberry, Hermes, Aesop and Bentley among its regular clients.At around the same time I also began lecturing in interior architecture and quickly found myself tangled in love affair with teaching, education and entrepreneurship which I am privileged to continue today. I recently acted as consultant and managed delivery of Greenocks first creative entrepreneurship program (The art of Enterprise) on behalf of West College Scotland and look forward to developing more of these valuable community based projects in the coming years. I continue to act as senior designer for Method Studio while gleefully lecturing with Shanghai college of fashion and innovation, a joint institute with Edinburgh college of art.
