Director Of Marketing And Public Relations
CurrentReporting to the Chapter Executive Director, I lead our chapter's marketing & communications objectives, which delivers against Concern & Awareness goals while supporting the full mission of the organization. My position is largely responsible for maintaining concern about the disease and increasing awareness of the Alzheimer’s Association by garnering local editorial news coverage. I am an adept storyteller, highlighting those living with the disease and their caregivers, as well as local researchers. I champion our Executive Director as a go-to resource for local health stories. In addition to media relations, I am responsible for the following: paid advertising efforts, including print, broadcast and online channels; social social strategy and execution (both organic & paid); graphic design needs, including creating programmatic flyers and collateral for events, such as our annual Gala; and updating and maintaining owned channels, such as our chapter website, e-newsletters (weekly and monthly).I proudly received the Capital Region MarCom Award for Media Relations (Regional, non-profit) for coverage around our Walk to End Alzheimer's in 2022.
