Hi There! I'm a voraciously curious person with an interest in criminal justice, policing, and police reform research. Most recently, I completed a Masters of Science in Criminology at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to Penn, I was a producer at Vice News where I developed stories focused on environmental justice and systemic issues facing Black and brown people. Before Vice, I was a 2022 Nieman Fellow at Harvard studying the effects of police training programs in the U.S. Prior to Nieman, I was a digital video journalist for Business Insider’s News and Documentary team. I firmly believe conversations are at the core of community-building and I work to incorporate those fundamentals in each project I’m a part of. www.marisapalmer.com
