Worked in Dr. Jennifer Irvin's lab as a masters student studying the use of electroactive polymers as chemical sensors. Using airless organic synthesis, I synthesized a variety of thiophene based monomers which I then polymerized using electrochemistry and studied their redox chemistry. My thesis title is "Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Thiophene Based Electroactive Polymers"

Organic Chemistry II Lab Instructional Assistant. Guided 3 lab sections per week on proper synthesis, purification, and analytical techniques including distillations, crystallizations, FTIR, NMR, and writing scientific reports.

SI Leader for Organic I and Organic II.
