WOW.. our dream at MJSF came true! Our first retail store opened on October 1, 2015!. We sell handbags, accessories and more and ALL NET PROFITS GO TO THE MAURICE J. SPAGNOLETTI FOUNDATION. In fact, we expect to provide more than $25,000 to charities soon in 2016, and are looking to expand in two more locations, in Dallas, Texas, along with another New Jersey store in South Orange or Maplewood. All net profits will benefit the foundation. Thanks to so many (including many LinkedIn friends!) for helping my daughter and I honor my beloved husband and help so many in need. The Maurice J. Spagnoletti Foundation has been created in loving memory of my beloved husband. Our mission is to help children in need, crime victims and honor all those who serve our nation. We are currently supporting amazing charities and holding our next memorial to my husband and handbag auction on June 11, 2016 at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover NJ. In addition, In October last year my dream came true, with the opening of Lucy's Gift, just in time for the holiday season. I am volunteering to help with marketing and fund development at SAFE in Hunterdon. SAFE is a leading NJ state designated dual agency dedicated to the prevention, intervention and recovery of adult and teen survivors of domestic violence and children who witnessed the experience of co-occurance of child abuse.It has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of my life. It is my mission to help those in need and strive to end violence. Last year, SAFE in Hunterdon's dedicated volunteers provided more than 10,000 hours of service to victims and survivors in Hunterdon County! I was honored to accept their 2015 Hope award, and will continue to strive to live up to their faith in me, and help them continue to make a real difference in the lives of others.

I continue to volunteer my time to oversee business development/fundraising for the Children of China Pediatrics Foundation's Maurice J. Spagnoletti Rehabilitation Program. We just had another successful handbag auction June 2015 (in memory of my beloved husband) and raised over $32,000. It is my dream now to continue to take this program all over the world to help orphans receive desperately need medical care, love and rehabilitation in memory of my husband. As well, I have started a retail handbag NON FOR PROFIT business, called Lucy's Gift, that will assist this and many other worthy charities and assist victims of violent crime.The Maurice J. At Crowe Horwath LLP I oversaw sales, marketing and business development in New York City. It was a great job with an exeptional firm.As part of my responsibilities I identified and cultivated "Centers of Influence" including CEOs, politicians, and media representatives to create new business and opportunities for corporate sponsorships including the N.Y. Banker's Association, N.Y. Real Estate Association, N.Y. Restaurant Association, and ACG. I am fortunate to still call many of these contacts my friends, in all walks of life.During this time I was honored, and humbled, to accept the National Association of Professional Women's Professional Woman of the Year award for outstanding commitment and leadership in charitable giving.
