A career of the past 23 years, achievement both on professional level and as an individual level there were set milestone reached. Understanding the importance of being part of the Supply Chain Function was to great value as well. The ongoing improvement in Supply Chain Function was greatly respected as to what impact it has on Business operation and to the continued existence to supply goods and services to Customers.The following areas of Supply Chain experiences were gained; Warehousing and Procurement logistics and operations of life cycle of stock /Inventory, Facility Maintenance, Master Data, Imports & export, Procurement and Occupational Health and Safety.Supply Chain strategy development ad objective experience with the focus on establish, develop and managing strategic initiatives as part of most of the roles. Feedback on relevant targets and monthly monitoring of actual results was also presented to using ERP system and Office Suits to prepare it for presentation to the Management forum. Calibration with other Department Managers was part of reaching business objective. The involvement and interaction with suppliers were managed via Supplier Relationship process. This ensured that the correct suppliers were obtained, and the correct relationship is formed to be seen as the ideal customer to supplier good or services.Managing team members to ensure operational objective, included the overseeing the management of individuals and of groups team members. This included to establish of KPI with each team member. Monitor their performance as done on an ongoing basis through coaching, reviews as per given timeline and if needed to have initiate corrective action and guidance to them. Internal auditing was also done as to ensure that buyer is on par with market trends, pricing, availability, capacity, and supplier deliverables.The use of two-way communication approach was of great help as it helped build team morale and motivate them. This have resulted into a couple of positive outcomes on performance results. With a B. Com were done as a part time student at UNISA and have been completed in 2016. This had an impact as to be dedicated, consistent and to focus on time management as to ensure that work/home/study balance is maintained.Additional participating training course were completed that related to the public sector as well as for the Private sector which included, Supervised Development Program, Safety and Risk Diploma, ISO 90001. Short day work shops were also done such as MS Office training sessions, and more.
