- Supervise a team of 11 intake specialist ensuring efficient operation of the reception center in Washington D.C. and Maryland.- Develop and manage the budget and procurement plan for the reception centers.- Oversee the reception of buses and walk-in individuals, ensuring a smooth intake process.- Ensure that quality service is provided to all individuals served.- Present and participate in daily calls with D.C. government officials at the Office of Migrant Services regarding specific asylum seeker and refugee (“Newcomers”) arrivals at the SAMU Reception Center in Washington, D.C. - Evaluate each case closely as a lead of walk-ins, ensuring that Newcomers meet the eligibility criteria to enter the city's temporary lodging program. - Respond to and address referrals of migrants from external organizations/entities or individuals.- Coordinate on phone calls the needs of Newcomers with authorities (Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”), police, Montgomery County Crisis Center, medical professionals, and foreign embassies).

- Greeting asylum seekers and refugees arriving on incoming buses and walk-ins at the Welcome Center in Washington, D.C. - Actively listening to Newcomers inquiries, concerns, or needs to perform intakes and write narratives for each individual or family unit. - Completing screenings, daily registrations, logs, and preparing the daily report document in accordance with protocols. - Provide Newcomers with immediate essential needs, including hot meals, water, clean clothes, over-the-counter medicine, and personal hygiene items. - Provide information about available resources and services for migrants and refugees in the area, as well as guidance on how to access them. - Offering travel and transportation guidance. Purchasing tickets to help newcomers reach their destination and be reunited with their family or sponsor.
