Mizuho Bank Europe N.V. is a full susbsidiary of Mizuho Bank Ltd. and has next to the office in Amsterdam branches in Brussels, Madrid and Vienna. I am responsible for the financial administration of all four offices. My activities consist of processing of the purchase and sales invoices and supplier payments. Also I process the daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations and I am responsible for the maintenance of the suspense accounts. Another major part of the activities is the budget control process, which consists of processing budget applications, monitoring the budget on a day to day basis, monthly and quarterly reports to departments, branches and management and preparation of the annual budget. Other responsibilities are the maintenance of the fixed assets administration, booking the salary journals in liaison with the HR departement, VAT returns and assisting in projects.

The department of Accounts Payable is part of the Financial Shared Service Centre within TMG. They process around 60.000 invoices on a yearly basis. My daily activities consisted of managing a team of 12-15 people, including three trainees. I monitored the list of outstanding invoices and kept the suspense accounts up to date. I also took care of the monthly closures, reconciliations and various other reports.

I was responsible for the revenue model of the different companies. For this purpose I made the various weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, forecasts, and I monitored the compliance with the various contract obligations of networks and partners. Furthermore part of my tasks was the financial administration of one of the companies, especially the purchasing order system. I have made ​​a significant contribution in the implementation of the movement of goods in the financial administration.

Under my responsibility the daily operations and checks were automated and digitized, and I set up the periodic reports to the controller. I also made the monthly and annual closures. Also, I did all the work on the financial records, such as accounts receivable and accounts payable, journal entry of the bank, making payments, VAT returns, etc.
