An aesthetics- and analytics-driven designer, Marisol Foreman seeks to integrate data-informed and sustainable design principles into daily practice. As Partner and Sustainability Architectural Manager at Rowland+Broughton, she provides leadership coordination across all R+B projects, determining the sustainable design principles that are most applicable to each project, and customizing the team’s approach to meet each client’s desired sustainability goals. Growing up in Colorado instilled a passion for nature, she consistently seeks ways for the built environment to positively contribute to the unbuilt environment. Marisol is known for her ability to approach projects with a creative solution-oriented perspective, utilizing data to make informed decisions and advocating for the best sustainable solutions to fit each project’s key objectives, resulting in a building that achieves high performance goals as well as achieving an aesthetically pleasing and award-winning design.With a Bachelor of Environmental Design with an Architecture Focus from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Architecture with a Sustainable Systems and Design Degree Focus and Daylighting Certificate from the University of Washington in Seattle, Marisol draws upon her background to approach each project with a holistic perspective. She has also studied architecture around the globe, completing coursework in Rome, Berlin and Sydney studying under Pritzker Prize winning architect, Glenn Murcutt. Prior to joining Rowland+Broughton, Marisol worked with Albrecht und Partner, atelierjones, and Perkins&Will, leading and contributing to a variety of project types including multi-family, commercial, religious, science and technology, sports and recreation, and transit-oriented projects.A licensed architect in the states of Colorado and Washington, Marisol is a Certified Passive House Designer, LEED accredited with a specialty in Building Design and Construction, and NCARB certified. As an active volunteer in the architectural and sustainability communities, she is a Board Member of the Colorado Green Building Guild (CGBG) and Co-Chair of the AIA Colorado Committee on the Environment (COTE).
