Fibershed is a non-profit organization that develops equity-focused regional and land regenerating natural fiber and dye systems. Our work expands opportunities to implement climate beneficial agriculture, rebuild regional manufacturing, and connect end-users to the source of our fiber through direct educational offerings. We are transforming the economic and ecologic systems that clothe us to generate equitable and climate change ameliorating textile cultures.

In the five months I was with the organization I was able to coordinate the national events programs by securing high profile school district leaders, creating engaging agendas, and by motivating teams to have flawless event performance.

After 11 years of progression, I served in dual capacities as COO/CFO for one of the largest educational technology non-profits in the country managing a 14-person team responsible for operations, finance, human resources, IT, and event management. Some of my most noteworthy accomplishments in this role include: • Increased revenue by 47% during tenure up to $4.31M.• Turned around financial management practices resulting in a 190% increase in organizational reserves. • Modernized technology infrastructure introducing paperless registration and online payments.• Achieved substantial gains in staff (366%), conference attendance (388%), and membership (188%) because of rallying key audiences around a more compelling non-profit mission. I began working with the organization as a conference coordinator in 2003, then was a conference/program manager from 2003 to 2007, and was the director of operations from 2007 to 2014.

I excelled in multiple front of house and back of house operations management roles at three high profile Hyatt hotels in San Francisco. My mandate was to oversee HR, payroll, financial management, and customer service. I won Manager of the Year honors in 2002.
