I collected data for two different projects, in English and Spanish, in which I traveled to local sites in the greater Minneapolis- Saint Paul area to conduct research and collect data from preschoolers and first graders to evaluate their language abilities.

I worked as an office assistant to the Department of Languages and Cultures and Hispanic Studies. My duties included making copies for professors within the department, scanning and emailing documents, delivering and picking up materials, delivering mail, office maintenance, and assisting professors in projects if needed.

I assisted multiple professors in grading tests and homework and entering grades into the online platform, sometimes proctoring tests if needed.

I tutored fellow students in Spanish, helping them with homework, essays, or test prep. I was able to help students with grammar usage and writing skills, from beginner level to intermediate.

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

I assisted the HACER team in conducting research to benefit the Latino community in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, as well as assist in youth leadership camps during the summer.

I facilitated recreational activities held at the Environmental Learning Center, including various community events and a Music in the Park series. I assisted renters with anything they needed in the facility, and was also responsible for opening and closing the center.

I tutored students grades K-12 by helping to improve their math skills through worksheets and interactive games, as well as grading worksheets and homework. I frequently communicated with the other tutors about effective teaching methods and was able to work with kids of all ages. I was also responsible for opening and closing the center at times.
