Reading isn't just an escape for me. I've been an avid book-lover for so long I can hardly remember the first time I opened one up. It's just as well, though– I wouldn't be the person I am today without the stories I've read and worlds I've visited. In elementary school, I picked up the proverbial pen for the first time and haven't set it down yet. Just like I did back then, I dream of writing books that impact imaginations and elevating stories that can change the world. Since those first haphazard scribbles, I've spent time preparing for the time I can make my impact on the publishing industry through college courses, personal writing projects, internships, and afternoons spent in the library. I am looking for an Editorial Assistant position that fuels my love of the written word and allows me to provide value to my employer.
