I started out my adult life pursuing a career in the art of pastry. I am passionate about baking and love to see the joy it brings a person. I grew the most as a person during my time at Robert Sinskey Vineyards in Napa. I had the opportunity to work under multiple talented chefs. I learned just how important communication is (something I had struggled with my entire life to that point). Communication went hand in hand with organization and labeling, so every person in the kitchen knew exactly where something was and what it was! It was in this job that I also learned how to scale and create a recipe; a skill that was invaluable during my venture as a small-business owner. While I am sad to be moving on from this part of my life, I know I am starting another exciting journey in Software Development! I am a recent graduate from the UCSD Full Stack Software Development Bootcamp. I chose software development because it included so many of the things I love about baking. It allows me to be creative and 'develop' a new project or improve on something existing! My organization and communication skills have come in handy throughout my limited experience. I know keeping a tidy repository and working with feature branches are hugely beneficial to team projects! I am currently seeking employment as a Junior Software Developer.
