Majority of my experience has been obtained through my years working with noxious weeds in the Thompson-Nicola, Vancouver Island and North Peace regions of BC. I have been given the opportunity to perfect data compilation and edits to upload into provincial datasets, GPS use and creation of files for navigation, budget tracking/creation, leadership and teamwork, resource road navigating using 4x4 vehicles and ATVs. My work at the City has been short in time but not short in experience. Working as an Environmental Technician has given me the ability to monitor groundwater levels using a variety of equipment. I participated in monthly sampling of groundwater for our compost facility as well as quarterly leachate sampling for the 3 landfills located within the City limits. I worked along side contractors, labs, environmental professionals and internal departments to ensure coordination of personnel, reporting, sampling events and samples are obtained with the time frame provided.
