They established Advisory Councils in New York and London after recognizing the value and role that Advisors can play in assisting their business.

I teach a course titled "Innovation for Social Change," which explores what social innovation is, tools for social innovation being leveraged across the private and public sectors, and how to apply them for a range of impact-driven careers.Taught a master's level course on social entrepreneurship titled “Building the Social Enterprise: An Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship,” which provides students with a foundational understanding of social entrepreneurship, its origins and defining characteristics, but also lessons on how to apply principles of innovation to social good. Course includes lectures, experiential components, and guest lectures from local social entrepreneurs.

DataKind™ harnesses the power of data science in the service of humanity. The 501(c)3 engages data science and social sector experts on projects addressing critical humanitarian problems and leads the conversation about how data science can be applied to solve the world’s biggest challenges.In Network capacity, I fostered community across our chapter network, an integrated community of DataKind leaders that connect pro bono data scientists and visionary social changemakers in DC, SF, London, Dublin, Singapore, and Bangalore, to develop a community of practice. This included, though was not limited to, advising, integrating, and assisting chapters on standard project executions and best practices. Overarching goal was to create healthy and diverse growing chapters that consistently support their communities of data do-gooders to use technology for social good. In Community capacity, I developed and executed strategies for volunteer recruitment, pipeline improvement, and engagement from network of 14,000+ socially conscious data scientists and enthusiasts. I also liaised between DataKind headquarters and chapter leaders from London, San Francisco, D.C., Dublin, Bangalore and Singapore locations.As key member of the DataKind's inaugural Diversity & Inclusion taskforce, I researched and delivered strategies for nurturing a more inclusive organization and represented the organization and conferences in field.

StartingBloc educates, empowers, and connects emerging leaders to drive positive social change across sectors. Selected to attend the New York 2016 Social Innovation Institute, where the curriculum included human-centered design, rapid prototyping, and transformative action/leadership skills.

Managed the RISE Urban Leadership Fellowship Program, including logistical, programmatic, and conceptual features of the program. Developed structure and system for documenting curricular features of program, as well as assessment tools for tracking progress of fellows. Managed all coordination between fellows, program faculty, and organization's leadership with regard to fellowship program.Oversaw design and implementation of RISE Urban Breakfast Club programs, including speakers/panelists, moderators, audience conversations and pre and post event information/data/research sharing. Launched breakfast learning series titled “Exploring Race, Equity & Inclusion in San Diego.”

Co-designed, planned and executed 3-week social entrepreneurship program with design thinking and one-to-one mentorship components for 22-25 young global leaders from over 15 countries.

Founded non-profit organization to raise social and cultural awareness about New Orleans and support community-based rebuilding efforts; staffed and supervised organization’s leadership team. Conceptualized and established a self-managed 900-book library for Katrina-affected young people aged 5 to 15, and as a result, received Proclamation from New Orleans City Council for creation of the project.

Conducted site visits and interviews with key stakeholders to co-author food and agribusiness proposal for tribes on Fort Peck aimed to improve health outcomes and economic sustainability on reservation; researched best practices across Indian country to provide tailored strategic plan for Fort Peck.

Conducted independent research on state of diversion programs in DC’s juvenile justice system; Interviewed key stakeholders, including Metropolitan Police Department, Office of the Attorney General, DC Council, Government, and Criminal Justice Coordinating Council on issue; co-authored 65-page report for client with major findings and recommendations for improving system.

Oversaw staff of 11 to produce annual conference focused on developing solutions for social issues most critically affecting black communities in U.S. and abroad; fundraised and managed $40,000 budget, secured keynote speakers, and created overall conference vision; managed panel managers and content; coordinated all travel and lodging logistics for conference.

Awarded $6500 summer fellowship to create group support program for underprivileged teenage girls in the Joe Slovo Township in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Responsibilities included crafting and implementing a 6-week pilot group support program focused on creating a space for girls to support and strengthen each other while developing tools for confronting daily challenges;developing a preliminary model for evaluating program’s success; and producing 25-page report on program.

Conducted historical and policy-based research for Center for Policy Analysis & Research and Avoice Project. Responsibilities included curating online exhibit on criminal justice and the role of the Congressional Black Caucus in shaping it, as well as planning and executing the Emerging Leaders Series of CBCF’s 41st Annual Legislative Conference.

Supported 15 civil rights attorneys through tasks, including: executing investigative research, conducting interviews with potential clients, drafting internal memos, prepared exhibits, corresponded with clients, and scheduling meetings.
