As a tour guide my responsibilities include taking a group of up to 20 visitors through the heart of the Davis campus to provide them with knowledge on the institution and its available majors, clubs, resources, and awards. It is my job to provide thoughtful responses to difficult questions in order to provide families with the best possible understanding of the campus to ensure their student is confident they would enjoy studying at UC Davis. Besides touring, I am also responsible for creating new tour paths for NCAA Division I student athlete recruits so they can see the athletic side of campus including sporting facilities, training rooms, and tutoring centers. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent my school and my team as a tour guide. I am even more thankful to be apart of the college process for students who are just looking for another place to call home.

As a Congressional Intern, my responsibilities include drafting responses to constituent comments and questions, recording information into office databases, answering phone calls, relaying relevant information to staff, conducting legislative research, touring district constituents around the U.S. Capitol, and general office practices which include taking inventory and welcoming office guests. Being a Congressional intern has provided me with a deeper understanding and appreciation for U.S. government practices and culture. Though not a large role, this position is extremely rewarding and I am grateful to Rep. Pete Aguilar and his entire staff for being voices of California's 31st district and making me a member of their team.

The responsibilities of an instructional aide in the Upward Bound Summer University at CSUSB go way beyond the day to day tasks. Although I did conduct general practices such as engaging in class instruction, creating grading scales, and completing mandated report training, my responsibilities did not stop here. In the classroom, I was able to work with over 150 students and begin opening their minds to controversial social, economic, and political topics in the U.S.. Students for the first time were able to conduct research on issues of racism, sexism, police brutality, and homelessness. They finished the year by conducting a presentation on an issue of their choice.Getting to join in on the education process of first-generation, low-income youths from the San Bernardino area was gratifying and I am thankful to all of my students who took the time to become passionate about difficult issues in society today.

My responsibilities as a stylist included creating a positive shopping environment for consumers, utilizing proactive communication to inform the stylist team of new product changes, arranging and cataloging incoming shipments, and organizing the style floor to keep it aesthetically pleasing. Working with polite and cheerful staffers as well as assisting foreign visitors with their purchases was the aspect of the job I was most proud of.

As a camp worker for the UC Davis softball team my roles included field set up and tear down. The most rewarding aspect of the job was getting to work with young girls ages 5-18 and getting to improve their softball techniques, teach them about how education is important to the recruiting process, and help empower them to reach their athletic dreams. The role was not large, but I was appreciative of the chance to get to show young girls that softball is a sport to be passionate about as well as a path to higher education and bigger dreams.

•Officiated the rules of baseball and softball games in order to increase the knowledge of youths ages 4-12.•Maintained up-to-date knowledge on current and changing rules of the game in order to maintain personal trustworthiness. •Responsible for charting accurate work hours and delivering charts on time to direct supervisors.•Effectively diffused high conflict situations between players and coaches in order to maintain a positive and supportive environment for the youth of the S.R Little League.
