Responsible for all Outbound Logistics including an average of 20 will call pick-ups and delivery appointments per day for outbound LTL and FTL. Work with Shipping Manager to insure loads are picked up on time. Communicate shipment status to customers, provide ETA’s for purchase orders and advise when back-orders occur or when there are delays due to raw material shortages. Work with Production Manager to insure customer request dates are met and product lead times do not exceed 30-45 days. This role also includes responsibility for Sales Order Processing from March 2016 to present and Inventory Purchasing from July 2018. Responsible for processing purchase orders with 100% product and pricing accuracy, analyzing current inventory level, purchasing raw materials based on replenishment needs, and processing invoices. Accomplishments in this role include:-Development of Excel spreadsheet that is now used by 45 customers to build shipments. By working with the Shipping Manager I created formulas that provide accurate seat counts for all products. This data is provided to our customers so they can build trucks with 100% accuracy.-Improved communication by implementing conference calls with 15 customer purchasing departments per week to review all open orders, scheduled shipments and communicate any potential delays in production. We also review products that might need to be prioritized based on low stock availability. This implementation improved customer satisfaction by 43% within 60 days.-Further developed the role by meeting with the 4 factory department managers daily to review current production plans. This information provides me with the visibility required to effectively communicate upcoming shipments to customers. -Improved customer service by proactively communicating required changes to shipment schedules 1-2 days prior to original schedule. Prior to this improvement last minute changes were frequently communicated on the expected day of departure.
