As a security the fundamental duties and responsibilities are:- Protect lives and properties the clients or the company- The guard should prevent employees/visitors from entering the premises without good purpose.- guard on duty is responsible for accounting the headcount for visitors and employees. In any case of missing person, the guard shall advise the authorized Admin Personnel or Manager and call for search and rescue accounting the safety of the environment.- security guard is empowered to do random inspection on personal belongings including bags, boxes, etc.- If it is discovered that something suspicious may be identified, the guard must obtain another witness to see before asking the person to remove or open the personal belongings. The guard shall contact the authorized Admin Personnel or Manager to ascertain the suspicious item found. A written report will be made by the guard.- guard will then contact the person for his or her approval before allowing the visitor to visit the person concerned.- Certain Government enforcement officers may be allowed to enter for inspection of the premises even though they may not have knowledge of who the particular person that is in charge. The guard will then have to refer the matter to authorized Admin Personnel or Manager.- The security shall check the delivery receipt and secure a copy. After verification of items/goods to be delivered, security shall endorse them to authorized Admin Personnel or Manager.- Persons coming in to deliver items/ goods will be requested to sign- in the logbook at the lobby/information desk and will be given ID.- respond to alarms and check alarm systems- monitor computer alarm systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and communicate by radio with mobile units to attend alarms
