I am currently a 4th year junior high teacher. I spent my first three years teaching 7th grade English Language Arts. I taught honors and regular English. I have also taught a reading intervention course for 7th graders and one for 6th grade. I now teach 6th grade ELA and a "upper level" reading class.In addition to teaching, I am on the district novels committee where we evaluate texts to be read in district classrooms; I am the chair of the school literacy committee; and I am a co-advisor for our school literary magazine.I am in my last semester of my secondary reading intervention endorsement.
