This experience allowed me to student teach third grade students at Tomas Rivera Elementary School. I taught, lesson planned, offered feedback for and engaged third grade students in Riverside Unified School District. This experience taught me the importance of student engagement, relationship building with students and parents, and classroom management. Through this experience, I was able to attend three different professional developments to further expand my teaching knowledge and continue to grow as a professional.

In this role, I supervised and engaged with students as they took part in the daily activities at daycare. A high importance was placed on ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. I also completed other necessary tasks like signing students in and out of our online program, locked up the facility after all students are picked up, and built relationships with both students and their guardians. Additionally, I was in charge of lesson planning various art projects for the students to create on Fridays. Safety, relationship building, and ensuring the entertainment of students was the primary duties of this position.

In this role I was able to teach and supervise a third and fourth grade class through everyday activities and field trips. I had the opportunity to work with and accommodate a student who had autism, prepare lessons that incorporated different learning styles, and plan engaging activities for my class to participate in. With lots of traveling and movement, this job required me to be able to adapt to a multitude of different situations, have a high understanding of time management, design and prepare lessons and activities, and safely manage and interact with all of my students.

This role allowed me to give swim lessons to students of all ages. I worked with infants, children, adults, and elders. In addition, I had the privilege of working with multiple students who had special needs. I was able to teach students of all levels and abilities water comfort, water safety, and swim strokes based on their swim experience. With small class sizes, I was able to build relationships with all of my students and their guardians. I was also able to practice the technique of scaffolding as I taught my students in a skilled and leveled way.

As a sales floor team member, I acted as a receptionist, assisted guests with their needs, and worked with a team to organize clothing and create a visually appealing store. This job allowed me to develop customer service and organization skills, and become people oriented.

In this position, I was in charge of editing a section within the yearbook. I ensured that all members of the yearbook staff had their work in by deadlines and edited their submitted work. I promptly edited staff work and submitted this to the dean of journalism for further review. I lead my section's staff members with humility, grace, and strong communication skills.

In this position, I was able to interview professors and students, and write stories on them for the school yearbook. I successfully worked in tandem with photographers, graphic designers, and editors to make sure that my submitted work was acceptable. I was able to learn great teamwork, writing, and communication skills through this role.
