Current• Lead a four-person category merchandising team consisting of one direct report (Assistant Buyer) and two indirect reports (Planner and Replenishment Analyst)• Develop and manage strategic merchandise selection ensure the assortment meets the consumer’s needs andcompany vision• Track and forecast sales trends weekly by analyzing sales, incoming receipts, and current inventory• Collaborate with business partners in Planning and Allocations to review financial plans and ensure alignmentbetween financial expectations and assortment• Negotiate with vendors to receive best pricing to maintain value proposition to the customer• Analyze economic, competitive market and industry data to assess current business strategies to identify futurebusiness opportunities which translates into actionable assortment, pricing and in-store experience decisions• Establish partnerships with national brands and internal private label teams to communicate merchandise needs• Build strategic relationships with vendors and cross functional partners (Marketing, Visuals, Store Operations)2022 Key Accomplishments:• Met key metric goals of sales dollars, margin rate, and turn• Drove sales +12% to last year, +9% to plan, gross margin +236 bp to last year, +159 bp to plan, turn+32 bp to plan
