The Center for Educational Outreach (CEO) serves as the principal resource for faculty, staff and students who seek to engage with communities on issues of higher education access and success toward developing a diverse community of scholars at the University of Michigan. My role works within CEO and across the university to develop and support an infrastructure for the university’s K-12 educational outreach. I focus on the implementation of technology, communications and marketing efforts that strengthen coordination and collaboration on campus to advance educational outreach. Daily activities include project/product management for the development, implementation, and support of CEO’s constituent relationship management (CRM) platform and educational outreach portal, Youth Hub; identifying, prioritizing, and approving all CEO communications and marketing collateral; planning and facilitating discussions within CEO’s communities of practice and internal partners to enhance collaboration and coordination around the university’s educational outreach capacity. This is a collaborative position that requires the ability to interact with people and teams across the entire university under the direction of CEO’s associate director.

I collaborate with a wide variety of faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders in their academic and research technology needs. My main areas of focus include: Business Process Analysis: I work with UMSI faculty, staff, and students to understand and document their goals and workflows for key functional areas (e.g. faculty hiring, student recruiting, application processes), providing recommendations for how goals could be better met or improved using new or existing information technology products and services. Product and Application Management: I manage of several existing products and applications, working with faculty, staff, and students to identify and prioritize operational improvements, assist in ongoing configuration and customization tasks, consult on process improvement questions, and examine product and application use through usage data, interviews, surveys, or other user experience design methods.Community Engagement: I participate in UMSI and UM-wide community activities (e.g., workshops, communities of practice, committee meetings) gathering information for the Computing team as well as communicating the mission of UMSI.Technology Exploration: I explore new methods and technologies through self-directed learning, sharing findings and insights with the Computing team.

Project lead and design coordinator. Researches and evaluates new design technologies. Collaborates with diverse teams to create engaging workflow and process diagrams, published reports and digital products. Highlights: * Project Publisher for CIO annual reports, project management portfolios, and marketing materials partnering with the IT leadership teams to develop their business goals into engaging visualizations and marketing materials. * Project Lead of the University of Michigan’s Health Bicentennial Timeline (in collaboration with ITS)- timeline.it.umich.edu. *Project Lead on the Senior Directors Video Announcement, directing the team of videographers and logo design team to create the video, watched by 900 employees and fifty leadership members. Leads collaboration efforts and identifies potential synergy opportunities for diverse groups. Runs focus groups and informational interviews to identify team production gaps and fashion recommendation reports for management to review and assess. Applies best practice skills and techniques in project management tools, especially using lean management, needs assessment, content development skills and design software.

Advised prospective and incoming SI graduate students through telecommunication and peer-to-peer guidance interaction. Helped redefine the diversity and inclusion action plan. Main student contact for prospective students in the first-generation outreach initiative. Interned with Open.Michigan and Learning Design & Publishing during UMSI’s Practical Engagement Program to learn more about information privacy, information architecture, metadata tagging, accessibility, and contextual inquiry. Highlights: *Offered direct employment opportunity with organization after internship*Co-led the Accessibility, iBooks Author, and EPUB research and development projects*Co-led the video accessibility project, personally increasing the 3% accessible videos to 18%

Assisted users with their information needs by teaching research and information literacy skills and collaborated with them to find effective information and data

Collaborated with the Wheaton Magazine department to enhance, archive and metadata tag over 300,000 images from Wheaton's history. Co-led the project of transferring all images from disks and USB drives to one main database.

Taught low-income, minority high school seniors college writing courses, personally overseeing their college application essays, resulting in acceptance letters, scholarships and college admission. Served as a student and staff mentor, providing calm and gentle counsel.

Served as the lead academic coach for hundreds of students, supporting their efforts in college applications and STEM classes. Specialized in at-risk high school students. 100% success rate in student success.
