I currently work as part of a team running the Exploration HUB, a makerspace and memory lab at the library where patrons have access to creative tools and digital conversion equipment such as computers, 3D printers, Silhouette Cameo automated cutting machines, image scanners, MakeCode MicroBit chips, and digital conversion software. I create monthly rotating displays, design and implement activities for patrons, and write curriculum for HUB programming related to monthly library-wide themes. I also work closely with patrons and teach the public how to use makerspace and memory lab equipment with a customer service- oriented attitude.In addition to my primary work at the Exploration HUB, I took on additional responsibility in the Genealogy and Carlsbad History Department at theGeorgina Cole Library as a part-time project archivist, conducting relevant research and writingmetadata for a collection of historical photographs of the Carlsbad area.
