Hi, I'm Marissa and I've been an arts educator in the non-profit sector for 14 years. My mission is to establish exciting visual art studios for the secondary grades. Inclusive, supportive mentorship comes first, adventurous exploration of arts media and curriculum comes second in my teaching practice. Throughout my time as an after school arts mentor, I have taught middle school and high school youth how to navigate the following media: acrylic and watercolor painting, drawing, digital illustration, ceramics, stenciling/spray paint, printmaking, and larger scale works. I also have 10+ years experience curating youth centered exhibits in public spaces throughout the central coast. I have just finished earning a single subject credential in the Visual Arts through the Global Remote Credential Program at California State University, East Bay. I have a B.A. in Visual and Public Art with a minor in Service Learning Leadership from California State University Monterey Bay.
