I’m Marissa Thorn and I’m a floater/after-school teacher at Little Feet Daycare (part time). I’m from Grafton, WV and have lived here my entire life. I graduated from GHS in 2011 with the hopes of becoming a teacher. After graduation I decided I was going to Fairmont State University and get my associates degree in Early Childhood, which I just recently got. I still wanted something more and so I went back and am now working on my bachelors in Family Consumer Science with two semesters left. These degrees will land me a pre-k teaching job, or a job participating in the birth to three program. I have worked in the daycare settings for the past four years and I have babysat children for about seven years. I enjoy working with children because they inspire me to do better every day. They are creative and their energy is contagious. I also believe that the children we are teaching- will be our future and it’s very important that their guidance is at a high level, but also an achievable one. I am grateful to be a part of the wonderful team of caregivers at Little Feet and to work to serve the families of our community.
