Certified Nursing Assistant
CurrentI connect with patients/ residents directly to give quality and direct care. Typically I have a resident to aide ratio of 1:5 in the memory care unit or 2:20 in the assisted living unit. I help residents accomplish activities of daily living or "ADL's" which include toileting, showering, dressing and grooming as well as laundry.I have also become a med-tech through on the job training. I aide in the administration of medication, preform blood glucose checks and take and record blood pressure. I often reach out to PCP's and outside providers via fax and/or phone call to update on resident needs and changes in behavior.
